Steve Brailey
Chief Executive for Sheffield City Trust, Sheffield International Venues and SIV Enterprises Limited
Biography:
Steve has worked in a wide range of leisure and sporting environments.
After converting a floating barge into a public house in Grimsby and successfully managing it, Steve moved to EMI Leisure to manage squash clubs and health clubs in Chesterfield and Croydon. He moved onto Trust House Forte to work in Great Yarmouth and Southsea managing multi-purpose leisure businesses which included theatres, restaurants, bars, amusement centres, sports facilities, play parks etc.
Appointed in 1989 to manage the construction and development of a three floor ten-pin bowling centre and the very first 'Brannigans' theme pub within Britain's biggest pure leisure company, First Leisure plc. The success of Brannigans led to the roll out of the concept throughout Great Britain.
Moved to Blackpool Tower in 1991 to oversee the £17 million facelift to take the Tower to its centenary in 1994. Overcame the difficulties of incorporating the latest leisure concepts with the constraints imposed by a Grade I listed building.
Appointed to Chief Executive of Sheffield International Venues Ltd (SIV) and Sheffield City Trust (SCT) in February 1996.
The Company has grown from 4 venues and 110 employees in 1996 to now operating 14 venues. The Trust also owns the Sheffield Arena. The Company has over 750 employees and a turnover in excess of £25 million. In recent years the Company has invested over £40 million in its properties including the construction of iceSheffield, the complete refurbishment of Sheffield City Hall and the redevelopment of a number of health and fitness facilities.
Steve is a member of the South Yorkshire Tourism Advisory Group, a Trustee of the Sheffield Marathon and a member of the South Yorkshire 2012 Steering Group, Sheffield Strategic Events Group and Sheffield 2018 World Cup Executive Committee.
Andrew Snelling
Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Finance for Sheffield City Trust, Sheffield International Venues and SIV Enterprises Limited
Biography:
Andrew is qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987.
Andrew worked as Chief Financial Officer for a number of organisations until April 1994 when he was appointed Director of Finance of Sheffield Theatres Trust. Andrew fulfilled this role for six years initially turning round the financial position after a major fraud just prior to his appointment.
In March 2000 Andrew became Director of Finance of Sheffield International Venues.
Andrew was responsible for the financial aspects of the projects to build iceSheffield and completely refurbish Sheffield City Hall including working with the lottery and European funding bodies.
Since June 2005 Andrew has combined the role of Director of Finance with that of Deputy Chief Executive with increased responsibility for the future strategy of the organisation.
Sean Nolan
Director of Business Development for Sheffield International Venues and SIV Enterprises Limited is responsible for generating new business for Sheffield International Venues Ltd, primarily through its subsidiary SIV Enterprises Ltd. Sean is also responsible for growing the Fitness Unlimited Brand through franchising and stand alone clubs and is also responsible for the growth of SIV's overseas business.

Sean is responsible for generating new business for Sheffield International Venues Ltd, primarily through its subsidiary SIV Enterprises Ltd. SIV Enterprise performs Contract management on behalf
of clients including Local Authorities and provides specialist consultancy services on the operation of Sports Facilities particularly within its main area of expertise, maximising usage through
design and operation. Sean is also responsible for growing the Fitness Unlimited Brand through franchising and stand alone clubs and is also responsible for the growth of SIV's overseas
business.
Previously responsible for leading and motivating a team of General Managers, Group Managers and over 700 staff, Sean was accountable for the operations and financial performance of all areas of the business, which has a turnover in excess of twenty million pounds.
In addition to attracting over 50,000 visitors each week to its community programmes, the venues host around 500 events a year, ranging from World, European and National Sporting Events to Concerts, Company Conferences, Seminars and Dinners.
Sean was instrumental in the development of the Fitness Unlimited brand which operates in 4 of the Company's Venues and is directly responsible for ensuring its continuing success. With continued investment in facilities, people, programmes, sales and marketing, the membership has grown to over 14,500 members and is now one of the Company's' top income streams, this success is despite increased competition within the City from most of the Fitness Industry's major players.

Chairman of both the Sheffield City Trust and SIV Enterprises Ltd. Howard is also a Partner of Irwin Mitchell LLP, Solicitors.
