Tapton Park to host inaugral Chamber event

Chesterfield’s Tapton Park Golf Course is teeing off its membership to Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber by hosting an inaugural networking event.

The award winning club is to host the North Derbyshire Business Exchange, an event for local businesses and organisations, showcasing the conferencing and events facilities on offer at the venue.

The event, taking place on Tuesday 26 January, is an opportunity for members to meet, network with other delegates over lunch, identify new suppliers, find new contacts and create business partnerships at Tapton’s newly refurbished club house.

Sheffield International Venues (SIV) took over operations at Tapton in April 2008 and since then has invested £170,000 in the club, leading to a 100 per cent increase in memberships.

Andy Carnall, SIV’s golf manager, said: “Since joining the Derbyshire and North Nottinghamshire Chamber in late 2009, we have already had fantastic opportunities to network and raise Tapton Park’s profile across the business community.

“We are very much looking forward to hosting the Business Exchange event, our first as Chamber members.

“The event will not only be beneficial for us to network with other Chamber members, but will also be an opportunity for us to show businesses what we have to offer in terms of conferencing and events facilities.”

The Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce is now the third largest Chamber in the UK, with approximately 3,300 members.
