Golden girl tops team GB as captain

Sheffield’s golden girl Jess Ennis will be topping the tables again when she captains the British team at the Aviva International Match in Glasgow this Saturday (January 30).

The world heptathlon champion will line up in the 60m hurdles and high jump, facing opposition from the United States, Sweden, Germany and a Commonwealth select team.

Saturday’s international competition will see Jess lead a 17-strong team, including 1500m world silver medallist Lisa Dobriskey and 800m bronze winner Jenny Meadows, in the first major domestic indoor meeting of the year.

Jess will also compete at the Aviva Grand Prix at Birmingham's National Indoor Arena on 20 February.

Live coverage of all the action from Glasgow will be screened on BBC One and BBC Sport website from 2pm on Saturday January 30
