A fitness fanatic will use her passion for sports to encourage more Sheffield people to get active in her new role at a leading sports centre.
Lynsey Carveth, 22, from Ecclesall in Sheffield, has been appointed as a Fitness Unlimited as a senior sales consultant at Concord Sports Centre.
She joins after working at Don Valley Stadium and the English Institute of Sport – Sheffield (EIS-Sheffield) as a casual coach.
Previously she has coached Sheffield Hallam University women’s water polo and rowing teams and competed with them to a high level. Lynsey also swims and travels the world to take part in long distance running and triathlons. She completed a marathon in Colorado last summer and is currently training for the Paris Marathon and SIG Insulations Sheffield Half Marathon.
She will be using her skills to increase participation at Concord and to boost membership of its Fitness Unlimited gym.
Lynsey said: “I’ve always been extremely enthusiastic about sport and have a degree in Sports Science and Coaching.
“Having already worked at two other facilities operated by Sheffield International Venues, I am delighted to be taking on this full time role at Concord. I’m hoping my passion for sports is contagious so all the Fitness Unlimited members at Concord can get the most out of their membership!” |
