A sports therapist has joined Concord Sports Centre to help customers increase their fitness levels without the aches and pains.
James Allen, from High Storrs, will work alongside Lauren Waller in Concord’s sports therapy team to double the efforts in ridding fitness fans of sports injuries.
James has a Masters degree in Sports Therapy and joins the centre having previously worked at Bradford City Football Club with its head sports therapist.
He has also lent a helping hand at the National Swimming Championships at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre providing sports massage to the country’s greatest swimmers.
James specialises in sports massage, sports injury treatment and sports specific rehab to return customers to pre-injury fitness level.
James said: “It’s great to be part of the Concord Sports Centre team as the facility attracts both elite and amateur athletes. It will be a great experience to work in such a community based centre.”
“Sports therapy at Concord is available to members and non-members and the team provides expert advice and treatment for sports injuries, tensions and strains.”
Richard Apps, general manager at Concord Sports Centre, said: “James is a welcome addition to the team and has fantastic experience from his university degree and working in the professional sports industry. I’m sure he will bring a lot of skills with him and will be a hit with our customers.”
