Do your bit. Don't be a waster!

There are no excuses for sitting back and assuming that the responsibility for reducing energy lies with the governments and businesses alone. Everyone can do their bit to help!

Here are some energy facts to make you think:

•  A photocopier left switched on overnight wastes enough energy to make 5300 A4 copies
•  A PC monitor left switched on overnight wastes enough energy to laser print 800 A4 pages
•  It is not cheaper to leave fluorescent lights on. It is always more economical to switch them off
•  Lighting an empty office overnight wastes enough energy to make 1000 cups of coffee
•  An open window (during heating season) loses enough energy in a day to produce 130 wine bottles
