Here are the details of our 2012 Junior Ice Hockey Tournaments. Although we are still working on the format, our intention is to operate two competitive events side by side at each age group. This is based on feedback over the years to match up players and teams of equal abilities. We would therefore operate a ‘Best of British’ Premier League style tournament where typically Division 1 level teams compete and Championship Shield where typically Division 2 level and development Teams compete against teams of equivalent level. At Under 10s level we would operate a U10 and U8 event.
The cost of entry is £350 per team, the same as the last three years, a club entering both an U8 & U10 team only attracts one entry fee covering the U8 & U10 teams).
In order for us to assess the viability and plan the details, pricing and rules we are asking clubs to register interest early. This will allow us to set up a mailing list of all information as it becomes available and enable us to offer invitation preferences to teams already registered on this list. Formal Invitations with full details are expected to be issued early in 2012.
